In the ’60s there was Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and her iconic blue sleep mask embellished with closed eyes and long lashes. Fast forward to the ‘00s and there was Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl lounging in silk robes with a matching sleep mask perched atop her perfectly coifed hair. Beauty sleep is almost ritualistic in the sense that it is rare in our busy lives and much-cherished. Any successful ritual requires the proper tools and for beauty sleep, there are sleep masks, robes and pajamas galore. With brands stepping up their loungewear and sleepwear game, you have plenty of options to suit your heart’s desires. Keep an eye out for sumptuous fabrics that offer melting comfort especially after a long day.
