Celebrity style is quite a popular topic, especially since they tend to set the latest trends. Since this is the last month of summer 2015, we want to start recapping the best looks of the week before fall fashion takes over. So, in no particular order, here are our best dressed picks for the first week of August!
1. JENNIFER LOPEZ
It’s only correct that we start with a true glam girl. We are used to seeing J. Lo in some sexy sheer fabric, but she showed us a more classic look this week. The “Booty” singer attended the preview of “Hamilton” on Broadway in NYC last weekend looking very chic in a Dolce & Gabbana floral dress. She continued the feminine floral motif with a printed handbag and completed the look with a classic pair of white stilettos and matching earrings. Her red lip gave the ensemble a bold pop of color in true “Jenny from the block” fashion.
2. KERRY WASHINGTON
Olivia Pope may be an expert on scandals, but there is nothing scandalous about Kerry Washington’s consistently elegant style. On Tuesday, August 4, she attended the Disney ABC Television Group’s 2015 Summer TCA Press Tour and made a colorful impression in a baroque print top and skirt ensemble from Mary Katrantzou’s Fall 2015 collection. Excessive print can sometimes appear overwhelming, but Washington pulled it off effortlessly. She even added aquamarine accessories to play up the hue of her outfit. Not to mention, her Christian Louboutin pumps appropriately rounded out the look.

3. TARAJI P. HENSON
Anybody who watches television knows that “Empire” was the hit series for Fox this year, which made Taraji P. Henson’s portrayal of Cookie even more of a triumph. The Emmy-nominated actress attended the network’s All-Star party at Soho House in West Hollywood on Tuesday, August 4 in a black Cushnie et Ochs dress from the pre-fall 2015 line. Every girl needs a signature little black dress, but this one added major sex appeal with a plunging rectangular neckline. Paired with a striped Edie Parker clutch and glossy gold sandals, this look displayed the perfect balance of simplicity and sultriness.

4. ZENDAYA
At just 18 years old, this rising star has already developed a coveted sense of style. Zendaya was spotted in NYC on Thursday, August 5 in a fabulous leather jumpsuit by Solace London. The criss-cross detail on the top gave a modern edge to the look while the high-waisted culotte style of the bottom was reminiscent of a vintage silhouette. She kept her accessories to a minimum, which gave the jumpsuit the attention it deserved.

5. SARAH JESSICA PARKER
Last, but NEVER least, is the most glamorous look of the week. Sarah Jessica Parker attended the official Broadway premiere of “Hamilton” at the Richard Rodgers Theater in NYC on Thursday, August 6 in a gorgeous emerald green gown by Elie Saab. The dress was featured in the designer’s Fall 2015 collection with a fur vest, but Parker made the look her own and exposed her demure décolletage. When it comes to glamour, look no further than Sarah Jessica Parker.
