For those who want to maintain a certain sexiness with their wardrobe without interfering with their preference for modesty, there is an easy solution out there and it’s called nude fashion.

Nude fashion refers to clothing, shoes, or make-up that is “nude”, or flesh-toned, and meant to chicly blend in with your wardrobe rather than stick out like a sore thumb. One such example of this would be with some nude heels, like a elegant pair from Christian Louboutin’s Nudes Collection, paired with almost any outfit combination possible. The point of wearing a pair of these heels is for how easily it matches essentially anything in your wardrobe and how it also creates the elusion of endless legs.
Besides nude heels, there’s also the nude dress, occasionally referred to as the “naked” dress. In order to achieve this specific look, you would need to find a dress (or a jumpsuit, matching short & top combination, etc.) that essentially matches the color of your skin. Besides looking stylish, this outfit also creates an interesting optical illusion; from far away or in a crowd of people, someone wearing this outfit would appear as if they weren’t wearing any clothes at all, and, of course, wouldn’t have to face the risk of incurring indecency charges. Here are our top picks for day to evening:
Nude make-up is also another way to go when trying out “nude” fashion; if you still prefer to add a little glamour before getting out of the house in the mornings, rather than roll out of bed and out the house, you can still get that natural-looking glow with nude eye-shadow and various other flesh-toned make-up palettes.
Thankfully, there is an increasing interest in diversity for the world of fashion, and an increasing number of companies and websites devoted to providing fashion items, such as bags, dresses, lingerie, shoes and make-up, to women of all skin tones, such as lingerie site Naja or retail site Nudevotion.
So if you want to make a classy, but bold, fashion statement, try out some of these styling examples, and try going a little “nude” this Fall.
