One of the many reasons to visit Positano, apart from its rocky coastline and beautiful turquoise blue water, is a villa many can only dream of. Villa San Giacoma, a historical 18th century villa offers 5 star services and houses as many as 18 guests in 10 luxurious suites as well as 19 bathrooms and a cliffside pool. Each bedroom holds a gorgeous chandelier and grandiose artwork depicting images dating back to the 18th century.

There are some places that capture its’ visitors, mind, body, and spirit. There are some places that stay with you long after you’ve traveled home away from the secluded beaches with picturesque views. Positano, Italy is one of those places that will resonate with you long after you’ve landed in your hometown.
After the Villa fell into disrepair in the 1900’s, the new owners who purchased it in 2011 began remodeling and finished the restoration in 2013. The couple left the house is a distressed state so as not to lose the original appreciation of the home. “Essentially, they left the house in the unrestored condition they found it” Said Mara Soloman, director of Homebase Abroad, a concierge service that specializes in Italian villa travel. The couple are merchants and sell their Positanese-style garments around the world, in addition though, their soft furnishings are all their own design and are “items they had made especially for the house.”

I loved the images included with the piece! I’m a sucker for intricate tiling.
