As spring is around the corner and temperatures heat up, so does the global event calendar in April. Plenty of great events for you socialites are back:
- Grammy Awards (April 03)
Music’s most anticipated awards show – The 64th Annual Grammy Awards – will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. After a partly virtual event last year, The Grammy’s are back in person with Trevor Noah set to host the night. Jon Batiste, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and Billie Eilish are among those with the most nominations. Of course, we also can’t wait to see the red carpet.
- The Randox Grand National Festival (April 07 – April 09)
First run in 1839, has become a national institution with a global audience and is often referred to as the world’s greatest steeplechase. More than 500 million people in more than 140 countries watch the best jockeys battle it out on Aintree’s world-famous turf. This year’s prize money is £1 million.
- The 2022 Masters at Augusta National (April 07 – April 10)
The first of the four major championships in professional golf is traditionally held at the Augusta National Golf Club. The world’s best golfers will compete for the $11.5 million in prize money and the iconic green jacket for the winner of the tournament. - Monte Carlo Masters (April 09 – April 17)
Another world-famous sports event! The ATP Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo is often considered the most picturesque on the tour. As temperatures warm up across the Cote d’Azur, expect great tennis and the unique Monte Carlo feeling and hospitality. Check out our Glam Guide for where to stay.
- Coachella (April 15 – April 24)
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club. It is one of the largest and most famous music festivals in the world. This year’s line-up features Billie Eilish, Kanye West, Swedish House Mafia and many more.
- Singapore Yacht Show (April 22 – April 25 / on hold)
The Singapore Yacht Show is Asia’s leading yachting and boating lifestyle show. It is a four-day celebration of yachting lifestyle with gala dinners, glamourous parties and a wide range of interactive activities.
- Venice Biennale (April 23 – Nov 27)
Established over 120 years ago, the Biennale nowadays has an attendance of over 500,000 and is considered as one of the most prestigious art exhibitions in the world. It will take place in the Central Pavilion and in the Arsenale, including 213 artists from 58 countries.
