With millions of followers, it is impossible to ignore the Asian “IT” girls hitting up the streets and runway. These fashionistas are gaining attention and popularity in the global fashion industry, and to have a better understanding about Asian fashion trends, let us start with these faces.
SooJoo @soojmooj
If you do not know who is Soojoo Park, she has that iconic light blonde hair color that makes her stands out as one of the most loved supermodels, not only by Karl Lagerfeld himself, but many other international designers and brands as well. In my opinion, it is exactly that hair color that makes her stood out among all the Asian models. What is more, known as the hottest Korean model these days, Soojoo walked the finale for Chanel’s fashion show in Seoul, Korea. It is not too much to say that Soojoo is the promoter for the Korean culture.
2. Chaelin Lee (aka: CL) @chaelincl
As the muse of Jeremy Scott, this so-called “internet mama” is the one person that you just cannot ignore. First debuting in a K-pop group called 2NE1, CL made her career extension to the fashion industry. Her street style and event style, even her hair and makeup, make heads turn in Asia. For reference, here are some of her eye makeup comparisons.
3. Liu Wen @liuwenlw
As the 3rd place supermodel selected by Models.com, this Chinese beauty is the center of fashion. Followed by her previous reality show in China, more and more young ladies started to follow her style as well. Liu Wen, although she has that supermodel body, her style is very tomboy. If you have a look at her street shoot, you will see that this girl loves sneakers and pants. More comfy and wearable that is easier for many girls to follow. In an interview she had with Vogue, she said that facemask is her little tip to get a great skin.
Some inspiration to ponder if you ask me…
