Minimalism, asymmetric, and cut-outs were the themes at the Hakan Akkaya New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018 show. While the Ready-to-Wear collection was cool, sharp, and sporty, zebra print was incorporated, adding a fun, pop-of-print to the collection.
Hakan Akkaya is a former student at İstasyon Art Academy. After studying fashion design, he went onto management in the Turkish textile industry at Boyner Holding, Altınyıldız, and Sararis. Akkaya has been a professional designer for 16 years and achieved “Designer of the Year” awards from numerous institutions. This will be his fifth year showing in New York Fashion Week.
