Miami Swim Week – See Two of Our Favorite Shows

What does the fashion crowd do in the summer when there are no shows to see in New York, Paris, Milan or London? They go to Miami to attend Swim Week! This year’s edition featured over 70 brands and attracted thousands of fashionistas from all around the world. Below are two of our favorite shows:

Known best for its original prints, body hugging silhouettes and unique construction throughout hundreds of its swimwear styles, Luli Fama has been on the swimwear scene for over 15 years. The brand showcased a four-part collection on the runway at Paraiso Miami Beach for Swim Week. Vibrant, colorful prints from metallic blues to lime green and everything in between – left guests of the fully attended show wanting each piece that came down the runway. Aerialists were strung above the catwalk while each model came out showing each new look. The star-studded cast of models included Charly Jordan, Cindy Prado, Shannon De Lima, Georgina Mazzeo and Jena Frumes – who strutted down the runway with the support of Jason Derulo and their one-year-old son, who sat front row. Netflix’s Selling Sunset star, Mary Fitzgerald also attended the show with Malu Trevejo on Saturday night in Miami.

For the third year in a row, 10 of the most sophisticated Colombian swimwear brands presented on the runway for a must-see show at Swim Week on Miami Beach. A union between ProColombia and Paraiso Miami Beach, in an effort to foster the growth of the Colombian swimwear community and present buyers and press with a group of the country’s most diverse, unique and sophisticated swim brands. Nearly all have sustainable components designing and ethically manufacturing each collection. Colombian swimwear is growing rapidly in the US. According to Flavia Santoro, president of ProColombia, “the sector has grown over 70% between January and May of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 and reached exports over $8 million.” Featured brands included Alma Arena, Bahama Mama, Bahia Maria, Palmacea Swimwear, Smeralda Swimwear, Mar de Lua, Mola Mola, Puntamar and PQ Swim. Below are a few of our favorite swimwear from the show:
