Sublimotion Is The Ultimate Restaurant Experience In Dubai

The restaurant Sublimotion made headlines in 2014 when it opened its first location in Ibiza, ESP and became the world’s most expensive restaurant. Now, Sublimotion has added another location – Dubai. Located inside the renowned Mandarin Oriental hotel, Sublimotion will offer 12 guests at a time a unique dining experience blending the worlds of culinary art and technological innovation. The original idea for Sublimotion comes from two-Michelin star cook Paco Roncero as well as creative director Eduardo Gonzales.

Each seat at the dining table will cost a record-setting AED 5,000 ($2,000). The dining room has 360-degree screens that stimulate the senses of the guests with imagery and a hi-tech show. Sublimotion enforces a smart elegant or national attire dress code. The actual menu, its ingredients as well as the contents of the show remain a closely-held secret. That’s because the mystery surrounding it, is viewed as key to the dining experience by the owners. Of course, allergies are taken into consideration and the food will be adjusted accordingly. We do know that a dinner usually involves around 10 courses, each of which is introduced by the master of ceremonies. Dishes focus on Chef Roncero’s take on molecular gastronomy

At least 25 people are involved in the tech performance and food presentation – if you take into consideration that there are only 12 guests, this helps to explain part of the price tag for the tasting menu. Of course, you can also book the entire restaurant for a special occasion – whether an anniversary, a special birthday or any other occasion – Sublimotion will definitely amaze your guests.

For AED 19,000 you can also book the “Ultimate Sublimotion Experience” which includes dinner for two, round-trip airport transfers in a Tesla X and a stay in a suite at the Mandarin Oriental.
