Right off the famous Sunset Boulevard, The London offers guests the perfect opportunity of being right in the heart of Los Angeles while enjoying a tranquil and modern oasis that allows you to relax and forget about everyday stress. The all-suite hotel is located just 3 miles away from The Dolby Theatre, so if you are still looking for a place to stay during the Oscars, you have found your spot. But even outside the Oscars, the hotel’s location is hard to beat. Whether it is Beverly Hills and the shops on Rodeo Drive, the WeHo Design District or Runyon Canyon, everything is located in a 3-mile radius and can be explored by foot.
The London offers a choice of 226 suites, designed by award-winning David Collins Studio and Richard Design. Suites range from 725 sq ft in size to The Penthouse, a Vivienne Westwood inspired, 6,000 sq ft villa in the sky. The two-story penthouse has an over 5,000 sq ft private outdoor terrace that offers breathtaking views of the city, particularly during sunsets. It is the largest penthouse suite in all of Los Angeles. For $15,000 a night, your stay will include all amenities you can dream of: from in-suite check-ins to VIP personal services throughout the stay to a private shopping experience in the Vivienne Westwood boutique on Melrose Avenue.
But even at a lower price point, The London will offer you an amazing LA experience. Whether it’s the Chelsea Suite or the Vista Double Suite, you and your family will be in great hands, allowing you to fully relax, recharge and experience all LA has to offer. David Collins and Richard Design created these suites with an open floor plan in mind. You can expect muted hues, luxury finishes such as bleached oak, shiny chrome and embossed white leather, as well as spa-like bathrooms.
A particularly unique feature of The London is its partnership with Bryte, a restorative sleep technology company. The London is the only hotel in Los Angeles offering this technology. You can literally personalize your sleep experience by selecting your preferred mattress firmness, temperature and much more. Once you wake up, the software will provide you with a full analysis of your sleep. Expect maximum sleep comfort and relaxation.
With its unique location, design and luxurious services, it is no surprise that The London is well sought after for events, receptions and even weddings. On the one hand, there is the private screening room (more like a luxury cinema) which offers space for more than 100 people. On the other hand, you can choose between the West End rooftop overlooking Beverly Hills, the Grand Ballroom that has space for over 250 dinner guests, and the Hampton Court, an English-style garden overlooking West Hollywood.
We also had the opportunity to test the Boxwood, the flagship restaurant at The London. Executive Chef Anthony Keene presents innovative and seasonal menus. Keene’s style is to pair classic British favorites with bright Californian flavors. His expertise and training also result from his 15-year tenure at Ritz Carlton in the US and Hong Kong. As a starter, we definitely recommend the Spicy Tuna Roll. For our entrée, we opted for a perfectly cooked NY strip steak with onion rings, roasted vegetables and chimichurri. And for those who have a sweet tooth, try the English Toffee Pudding for dessert.
Service and the wellbeing of its guests is a top priority at The London. From chilled lavender washcloths at the pool to the always-friendly fedora-topped doorman and the extra-attentive housekeeping service, everything is designed to make your stay as special as possible, whether you are a true Hollywood celebrity or just want to experience LA like one.
