Based on the famous 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, this Baz Luhrmann directed movie became an instant classic when it was first released. When Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) gets to New York to pursue his American Dream, he finds himself moving next to the infamous millionaire Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) as well as his cousin Daisy. It doesn’t take long for Nick to be immersed in the world of the super-rich, their secrets and deceits. The Great Gatsby is a story of love and tragedy, dreams, success and dramas. The talent of DiCaprio is well known and his ability to show us the complex character of Jay Gatsby in its full form, makes this movie a must-watch.

Based on the 2001 book, the drama directed by Ridley Scott follows the live and relationship of Patrizia Reggiani and Maurizio Gucci. Patrizia is a young, ambitious and ruthless working-class woman. Seeing Maurizio’s wealth and lifestyle she pursues him. Disapproving of the relationship, Maurizio’s father threatens to disown Maurizio but he nevertheless decides to live with and love Patrizia and leaves the family to take a job at the Reggiani’s trucking company. Before his death, Maurizio and his father reconcile thanks to Maurizio’s uncle. However, the father fails to sign the will that would grant Maurizio his stake in the Gucci company. Patrizia, seeing the opportunity of a life in wealth and luxury, forges his signature and then designs a plan to obtain the other half of the company from Maurizio’s uncle. A story of ruthlessness, betrayal, revenge and murder unfolds.

There probably isn’t a person in the fashion industry who hasn’t watched the 2006 movie directed by David Frankel. Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is hired to be the second assistant of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the Editor-in-Chief of Runway magazine, who is both feared and admired. While initially being clumsy, laughed at and seen as an ugly duckling, Andrea transforms into a fashion icon of her own right and becomes Miranda’s most trusted advisor. However, there is a price to pay as Andrea ruins friendships and even the relationship with her boyfriend along the way. Soon, she realizes that she has some difficult decisions to make.
