He owns more than 100 restaurants worldwide, 3 of which have been awarded Michelin stars. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. For decades, he has cooked for stars and celebrities during the Oscar’s night. Simply put, Wolfgang Puck is a culinary legend. Finally, he is opening a restaurant in his home country Austria. Wolfgang Puck Kitchen & Bar will be located at the Vienna Airport.
As Puck says: “I’m very excited to open this small restaurant in the place where my journey began. It’s my hope that everyone enjoys what we have prepared for this new location. It’s quite special to me.” The opening was originally planned for December 2021 but had to be postponed.
The restaurant and bar will be located directly in the arrival hall so that it accessible to all guests and visitors. It will cover an area of 700m2. What kind of kitchen can you expect? According to Puck, it will be his signature dishes, gourmet pizzas and Austrian cuisine. The facility will be operated by SSP – The Food Travel Experts, which has been a longstanding catering partner at Vienna airport. Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport, says: “With the new restaurant of the international celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, a bit of Hollywood is moving into Vienna Airport. Here guests will enjoy high-quality cuisine with best ingredients in a modern ambience.”
We can’t wait until we are in Vienna again to test the restaurant first hand. But if it is like all his other restaurants, we have no doubt it will be a great success.
